this is your sign…

…to always check the floor of the thrift store.

this stunner of a free people blouse was just sitting on the floor of goodwill, waiting for me to come along and find it. something i always do while thrifting is pick up the items that have fallen to the ground, or re-hang the items that are dangling from hangers. oftentimes, these pieces that have gotten so mixed up are items that others once pulled from the racks. they may have tried them on or put them in their cart. more often than not, this process of checking the floor will yield your basic pieces that fill the racks at the thrift. but once in a blue moon, it pays off, and last week i struck (rose) gold!

not only did i have the privilege of finding this gorgeous free people blouse, i was also able to scratch a brand off of my thrift bucket list; farm rio from anthropologie! i felt so giddy at the sight of the stunning floral pattern of the button up linen top that i took a pic of my shopping cart because i just couldn’t believe what gems i had found.

feeling blessed by the thrift this past week and i am truly grateful. so, keep your head down as your stroll the aisles of the thrift next, you never know what could be waiting for you to discover!
